TaskStream:

Online Document management System

Welcome to the NYSUT ELT/Mercy Partnership Program! Below is important information for you to read and consider prior to taking your course. Please read carefully. Thank you for taking your valuable time considering the below. It is imperative for your success!

All Mercy Master's Literacy and TESOL/Bilingual programs require field work (10 hrs) if the student plans on matriculating into Mercy to complete their degree and/or certification.

There are two options when you consider taking courses via the NYSUT ELT/Mercy Partnership Program:
(1) Matriculation and completion of a degree, extension or advanced certificate
(2) Taking the course as a stand-alone, three credit, graduate course

Option I

STUDENTS PLANNING ON MATRICULATING INTO MERCY COLLEGE

In order to matriculate into Mercy College and apply courses towards a Master's degree, extension or Advanced Certificate, you must complete the 10 hour field work requirement per each course. Field work forms are located in Team Room in Frontline Professional Growth and are required to be submitted into Taskstream ( www.taskstream.com ) prior to the conclusion of your NYSUT ELT/Mercy partnership course. (Directions for creating a Taskstream account are also located in Team Room in Frontline)

Taskstream is an online managing account system that will keep your documents secure, maintain them until you matriculate, and will allow your instructor to 'approve' them upon the fulfillment of the requirement.

Setting up the account is mandatory in order to matriculate into Mercy College. Once you matriculate, your documents will transfer with you and are able to be submitted towards your degree and/or certification.

Option II

STUDENTS TAKING THIS COURSE AS A STAND ALONE, THREE CREDIT, GRADUATE COURSE

Some students might plan on taking this course as a stand-alone graduate course that is definitely an option! If you arenot planning on matriculating into Mercy College, the field work hours are not required. However, should you NOT choose to apply for a Taskstream account, it is an irrevocable decision and cannot be changed in the future. Meaning, should you at a later date decide to matriculate into Mercy or need the field work hours to be completed, they cannot be applied to this course. The decision to apply to Taskstream and complete the field work hours is now. Please make sure any decision you are making is in accordance with New York State Education Department certification requirements (http://www.highered.nysed.gov/tcert/certificate/).
