Online Courses

To register for an online course click here.

NYSUT Education & Learning Trust uses the Moodle platform to deliver its online courses. Courses run eight or ten weeks. Participants should log in daily to review announcements, respond to discussion board posts and upload assignments. 

Participants are to purchase the Required Text(s) for online courses via their own personal, favorite bookstore. Please see Course Descriptions for required text(s). Students are required to have the proper text(s) by the class start date.

Participants will receive an email from ELT with the enrollment key for their online course(s) by 5:00 pm on the day that the course begins. If you do not receive an email, be sure to check your spam folder. Please notify ELT at eltmoodle@nysutmail.org of any changes to your email address to ensure receipt of login information.

Participants should contact ELT at eltmoodle@nysutmail.org for problems with passwords and/or technical support. 

Please note that the Moodle Platform works best on a computer (PC or Mac). Using tablets or other handheld devices is not recommended. While you may use the device of your choice, we can only provide technical support to those who are using a computer (PC or Mac).

Incompletes cannot be granted for online courses.

Refund Policy

If a course is canceled by the Trust, all paid tuition is 100% refundable.

Participants who withdraw prior to the online course start date will be charged a $50 administrative fee. Withdrawal requests must be sent to NYSUT ELT at eltmail@nysutmail.org or faxed to (518) 213-6456.

Participants who withdraw within the first two weeks of an online course will be refunded half of paid tuition. Withdrawal requests must be sent to NYSUT ELT at eltmail@nysutmail.org or faxed to (518) 213-6456. Participants should also notify instructor of their intent to withdraw from a course.
