ELT, in collaboration with the NYSUT Program Services department, has rolled out a series of online seminars that offer timely and useful strategies for school-related professionals at a minimal cost.

These flexible sessions allow participants to register at any time, as our registration is rolling, and learn at their own pace during the 30 days they have to complete the work.

The goal of these seminars is to provide our SRP members the opportunity to learn new and/or enhance current skills to help them in the critical roles they play in our schools.

Seminar titles include:

• Bully, Bullied or Bystander
• Creating a Welcoming School Environment
• Dealing with Difficult Behaviors
• Disability Awareness
• Effective Interventions for Students with ADHD Grounded in Executive Function
• Our World, Our Students
• Poverty and Its Effect on Learning
• Recognizing and Managing Conflict
• Supporting Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Understanding Trauma and Supporting Traumatized Students

Seminars continue to be added on a variety of topics pertinent to the needs of SRP members. These online seminars can be used toward fulfilling Continuing Teacher & Leader Education (CTLE) requirements as NYSUT ELT is an approved provider.

Please Note:

• ELT’s online seminars utilize the Moodle platform.
• Registration is on a rolling admission basis. New registrations will be added every Monday. Access to the online seminar will be sent via email by 5:00 pm.
• Participants have thirty (30) days from the day access is granted to complete and upload all the assignments.
• An experienced instructor will provide feedback and coaching.
• At the end of the designated time, participants who successfully complete the requirements will receive a grade of Pass and a certificate of completion. If not, a grade of Fail will be entered.

There is no refund once the access information has been sent to the participant.
