What Makes an Effective Co-Teaching Team?
WEBINAR: What Makes an Effective Co-Teaching Team?
While this webinar series targets future teachers, it is also appropriate for current educators who are interested in co-teaching. In the first session, our panel, consisting of two co-teaching teams (1 content teacher and 1 ENL teacher) at the early and upper elementary levels, address what it takes to co-teach and how to develop a positive relationship between the two teachers. The panelists share how they divide up the work, how they communicate before, during and after the lesson, and how they plan a lesson to co-teach. The panelists then present and debrief on a co-teaching video clip and answer questions from the audience.
Speakers: Monica Baker, Webutuck CSD; Tammy Nethercott, Webutuck CSD; Christine Passarelli, District 31, Staten Island; Elissa Ventura, District 31, Staten Island.
